2023: The year for your business event in Iceland 

Once limitations on social gatherings and travel restrictions were lifted here in Iceland in February 2022, things got busy quickly. We have seen a marked recovery in various international business events, including incentive trips, corporate meetings, and larger conferences or events. Most noticeable was the roughly 50% increase in international association meetings in Reykjavík in 2022 compared to the pre-pandemic year of 2019. Naturally, this success is due to the postponement of many 2020 and 2021 association events and conferences that were rescheduled with previously scheduled 2022 events. Nevertheless, Iceland welcomed the recovery.  

The last few years have been nothing, if not full of change. And with change comes uncertainty in 2023. These include the repercussions of the war in Ukraine and rising food and energy prices globally. However, most indicators regarding Iceland's business event industry remain optimistic, and we hope to see your event in Iceland soon.
